More details about our Sunday services…

Sunday 8am

This is a service of Holy Communion which has a traditional feel, but is in the contemporary language of ‘Common Worship’ and lasts for about forty minutes.

Sunday 10am

This is our main service on a Sunday. We have Communion every week, but on the first Sunday of the month this has a more informal feel as we welcome our baptism families and use a slightly different pattern for our worship.

There is an area within the church where very young children can be kept amused while parents join in the worship. The 10am service lasts for about an hour and there is coffee and chat afterwards.

Children’s groups (Sunday school as they used to be known!) are on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays at 10 am, workshop on 3rd Sundays.

Sunday 6.30pm

SUNG EVENSONG – this is a traditional service in the language of the Prayer Book (1662) and is a lovely opportunity to enjoy a choral service of prayer, Bible reading and hymn-singing.
Every 1st Sunday of the Month

SERVICE OF HEALING AND RECONCILIATION – this is a very peaceful and contemplative service with the anointing with oil for anyone who wishes it. The worship is not just for the ill and is not simply about physical healing, but will be appreciated by all those who are seeking peace and wholeness, not just for themselves but for a needy world.
Every 3rd Sunday of the Month

What happens at our weekday services?

Morning Prayer

A short service of Bible reading and prayer held every weekday morning at 9am in the side chapel.

Wednesday Holy Communion at 9.45

This is a communion service (contemporary language) of about thirty minutes and usually follows the previous Sunday’s pattern of readings.

ABC baby and toddler time

This is a gathering of adults, babies and children who meet from 10.30 on a Wednesday and concludes with a service specially designed for toddlers. It’s loud and fun – and the children love it!
