Thousandth Peal …

Thatcham Bellringers this evening (16 December 2011) recorded their thousandth peal – a remarkable achievement for a dedicated band of ringers. Bill Butler was interviewed on BBC Radio Berkshire and there are reports on the BBC and Newbury Weekly News websites in anticipation … those of us who were privileged to be there had a small celebration afterwards.

Harvest Festival

Please join us in our Annual Celebration in St Mary’s church. This is a joint service with St Barnabas.
Once again we will be supporting ‘Feed the Children‘
Donations of Pasta and Rice, Pulses welcome, (in packets not tins please, with date order and at least 6 months).
Plus knitted blankets etc.

Being new …

It can be a daunting experience to enter an unfamiliar church for the first time. Being new as Team Rector is rather different from that normal experience of not quite knowing which books to use or where to sit.
