More details about our services…
Sunday
Services |
|
Sunday 8:00 am |
This is a service of Holy Communion
which has a traditional feel, but is in the contemporary language of ‘Common
Worship’ and lasts for about forty minutes. |
Sunday 10:00 am |
This is our main service on a
Sunday. We have Holy Communion every week, but on the first Sunday of the
month this has a more informal feel as we welcome our baptism families and
use a slightly different pattern for our worship There is an area within the church
where very young children can be kept amused while parents join in the
worship. The 10am service lasts for about an hour and there is coffee and
chat afterwards. Children’s groups (Sunday school as
they used to be known!) are on 2nd 4th and 5th
Sundays at 10:00 am, workshop on 3rd Sundays. |
Sunday 6.30 pm |
SUNG EVENSONG – this is a
traditional service in the language of the Prayer Book (1662) and is a lovely
opportunity to enjoy a choral service of prayer, Bible reading and hymn singing.
Every 1st Sunday of the
Month |
Third Sunday |
SERVICE OF HEALING AND
RECONCILIATION – this is a very peaceful and contemplative service with the
anointing with oil for anyone who wishes it. The worship is not just for the
ill and is not simply about physical healing, but will be appreciated by all
those who are seeking peace and wholeness, not just for themselves but for a
needy world. Every 3rd Sunday of the
Month |
